BOOK MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING J OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, January 19, 1981 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, at 7:00 o'clock p. m. Those present were Commissioners John E. Dotterer, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. Commiss- ioner Jack D. Funderburke was absent due to illness. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: The Reverend Gary Smith, Pastor of Turner's Chapel Christian Church, opened the meeting with a prayer. The minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, January 5th, 1981, were approved and ordered recorded upon motion of Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, seconded by Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, which motion was unani- mously adopted upon a vote. Chairman K. S. Harmon appointed Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker to serve as Road Commissioner for this year. Mr. Leonard Barefoot, Planner, appeared before the Board on behalf of the Lee County Planning Board and presented several plats for consid- eration by the Board. The first item was the final map for the Dennis W. Womack Subdivision on the north side of Secondary Road No. 1422 (Osgood Road) in Deep River Township. After review and discussion, Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the plat be approved. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The second item presented by Mr. Barefoot was the preliminary plat of the Lakewood Section of Carolina Trace. This preliminary plat was approved upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. Mr. Barefoot then presented the final plat of the Lakewood Section of Carolina Trace for consideration.
