® sao 10 r,t• r JO <br />Mr. Barefoot next presented for consideration the Planning Board's <br />recommended amendments to the Lee County Planning Ordinance. Commissioner <br />John E. Dotterer moved that the Board advertise for a public hearing on said amend- <br />ments to be held at the second regular meeting in March or as soon thereafter as <br />same may beheld. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The written request of Romona and Alonza Glover for relief and refund <br />of taxes paid on double listed property was presented to the Board. Commissioner John <br />E. Dotterer moved that relief from double listing be granted and the Tax Collector be <br />authorized to refund the taxes paid as a result thereof. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker <br />seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, Commissioners Dotterer, Funderburke, <br />Wicker and Harmon voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that Mrs. Patsy Rogers be <br />designated as Deputy Finance Officer. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />County Manager Walter B. Hartman, Jr. , reported that a Title II <br />fund allocation had been received and perhaps additional CETA positions will be available. <br />The Chairman then announced that the Board would hold a public <br />hearing on the use of Revenue Sharing funds. The floor was opened to the public and <br />Messrs. James Ferguson, Robert Dalrymple, Kenneth Brinson, and Bobby Johnson <br />were recognized and given the opportunity to express their views on the subject. After <br />all persons who desired to speak had been recognized the Board closed the public <br />hearing. <br />The County Manager reported to the Board that the Sheriff had requested <br />that he be permitted to use mobile offices while his offices were being renovated. <br />The County Manager reported on his investigation of the status of the <br />money held by the hospital trustees. <br />The Board proceeded to open the bids received for the purchase of a <br />truck for use by the Sanitary Landfill Department. The bids received were as follows: <br />Mid-State Ford, Inc. $6,648.83 <br />Slate Pontiac-Buick, Inc . $6,697. 20 <br />Womble Chevrolet Company $6, 701. 35 <br />Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved that the Board accept the <br />low bid of Mid-State Ford, Inc. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
