BIAK 10 :Icr ? <br />a0 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY <br />J <br />OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, March 2, 1981 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' Room in the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, at 9:30 o'clock a, m. <br />Those present were Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. <br />Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner John E. Dotterer was absent when <br />the meeting opened. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />Reverend Jim McGhee, Pastor of the East Sanford Baptist Church, <br />opened the meeting with a prayer, <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer joined the meeting and participated <br />in the further deliberations of the Board. <br />Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved that the minutes of the <br />regular meeting held on February 16, 1981, be approved and ordered recorded. Comm- <br />issioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker requested that the status of the <br />petition for the improvements for the subdivision roads in the property developed by <br />E. M. Williams and Lowell Matthews, off the Colon Road, and known as Oakdale <br />Subdivision, be ascertained. <br />Mr. Elwin J. Buchanan, Grants Director, appeared before the Board <br />and reviewed the written report he had submitted concerning the activities of his <br />department. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, seconded by <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer, it was unanimously resolved to authorize Mr. <br />Buchanan to submit bids for rehabilitation of seven houses in the San Lee Heights <br />area. <br />
