That Article VII of the Lee County Subdivision <br />Ordinance be amended by adding Section D, as follows: <br />D. Minor Subdivisions <br />1. Minor subdivisions, as defined in Article V, <br />Section D, shall be reviewed and approved by a simplified, <br />two-step process: <br />a. Any person who proposes a minor subdivision must <br />first consult with the County Planner to insure that he under- <br />stands the requirements for the approval of a record plat. <br />b. After consulting with the County Planner, the <br />subdivider may file a record plat and any required fee with <br />the County Planner within one (1) year. <br />c. To the extent applicable, the record plat shall be <br />in the form and include the information required by the <br />abbreviated procedure and shall be accompanied by any <br />necessary approval from other agencies. The County <br />Planner may approve the record plat or disapprove it-if the <br />subdivision is not a minor subdivision or the record plat does not <br />include the required information. The County Planner may <br />also refer the record plat to the Planning Board if he is unsure <br />whether it meets the requirements of this ordinance. <br />d. The following certificate shall be placed on the plat: <br />Certificate of Approval for Recording. <br />I hereby certify that the subdivision plat shown hereon <br />has been found to comply with the Subdivision Regulations for <br />Lee County, North Carolina, and that this plat has been approved <br />for recording in the Office of the Register of Deeds of Lee <br />C ounty. <br />Date County Planner <br />
