No other persons
asked to be recognized and the public hearing was closed.
The Board next conducted a public hearing on proposed amendments to
the Subdivision Ordinance. The Chairman recognized Mrs. Max Matthews, Chairman
of the Planning Board, Mr. Worth Pickard, member of the Planning Board, and
Mr. Leonard Barefoot, Planner. Mr. Barefoot reviewed the proposed amendments
and advised the Board that the Planning Board had withdrawn the recommendation that
the excluded conveyances of ten acre parcels be reduced to five acres. Any subdivision of one lot which fronts on an existing
public street or has permanent access and egress by an exclusive
easement of at least 30 feet which would serve not more than two
lots.
2. Any subdivision which involves two (2) lots or less
fronting on an existing public street which:
a. does not involve any new public street or will not
involve any new street, whether public or private, to give
access to interior lots or parcels.
b. does not involve the extension of public sewerage
or water lines or the creation of new drainage easements,
c. will not adversely affect the development of the
remainder of the parcel or of adjoining property, and
