eon{ 10 <<,c,, <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />J <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY <br />OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, March 16, 1981 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room in <br />the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, at <br />7:00 o'clock p. m. Those present were Commissioners John F. Dotterer, Jack <br />D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. <br />Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: <br />The meeting was opened by prayer given by the County Manager <br />Walter B. Hartman. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, March 2, 1981, <br />were approved and ordered recorded upon motion of Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, <br />seconded by Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, which motion was unanimously <br />adopted upon a vote. <br />The County Manager reported that he had not received a reply <br />from the Department of Transportation concerning the status of the roads in Oakdale <br />Subdivision. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot appeared before the Board and presented two <br />subdivision plats for consideration. After discussion and review, Commissioner <br />Jack D. Funderburke moved that the hoard grant final approval to the single lot <br />subdivision of James Ammons in Deep Riber Township. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The Board then <br />considered the subdivision of the lands of Henry L. Williams and Alice B. Williams <br />in Jonesboro Township. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the Williams <br />Subdivision be given final approval. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously approved. <br />The Chairman next opened a public hearing upon the budget amend- <br />ment setting out the use to be made of Revenue Sharing Funds for the 12th and 13th <br />entitlement periods. Mr. Darrell Mullins, Architect, reviewed the jail renovation <br />project and this item was discussed, at length by the Board. Mr. Chuck Aldridge <br />an employee at Seimans-Allis, suggested that local persons familiar with computers <br />
