A temporary real estate office within a "model home" within a new <br />residential development shall be permitted provided that such home conforms to all <br />applicable building codes. <br />5.34.2.7 CARNIVALS AND OTI-11R AMUSEMENT EVENTS - Carnivals. amusement <br />rides or other similar events that are not associated with a religious, charitable, or civic <br />organization as set forth under Section 5.34.2.4 shall be permitted as a temporary use in the <br />C-2, HC, LI and/or 1-II zoning districts. Such temporary events shall be limited to a <br />maximum operating time of ten (10) consecutive days. <br />5.34.2.8 SIMILAR AND COtNIPATIBLE TEMPORARY USES NOT SPECIFIED. If a <br />particular temporary use is not listed in the Ordinance, the Administrator shall have the <br />authority to grant a temporary use permit for uses that are similar and compatible to those <br />allowed as temporary uses in this Section. Determination of' what constitutes similar and <br />compatible shall be made by the Administrator. In such instances, the applicant shall provide <br />the following information: type of use; number of employees; parking/circulation needs; <br />hours of operation; and duration of operation; and any other information as requested by the <br />Administrator. <br />Section 6. Article 11. Sign Regulations, Section 11.10 Temporary Banners be deleted in its <br />entirely and rewritten as follows: <br />Section I L 10 TEMPORARY SIGNS <br />11.10.1 Temporary signs must conform to all regulations of this section. These signs shall <br />not be required to obtain a sign permit but must be registered with the Department of <br />Community Development. Information required to register a temporary banner will be the <br />name and address of sign owner, date of erection of sign, date for removal of' sign and <br />description of sign (size, shape and material of construction). <br />11.10.2 SIGNS FOR SPECIAL EVENTS OF A RELIGIOUS. 0-I11RI'T11BLE, CIVIC, <br />FRATERNAL, OR POLITICAL ATATURE. <br />It is the intent of this section to allow the use of banners to communicate community events <br />for the above purposes. Temporary signs advertising special events o£a religious, charitable, <br />civic, fraternal or political nature may be erected provided that: <br />• The size of any such sign shall not exceed twenty-four (24 square feet in area.) <br />• The sign may not be illuminated. <br />• The sign may not be displayed earlier than thirty (30) days prior to the event to which <br />they pertain and must be removed within seven (7) days after the event. <br />I L 10.3 SIGNS FOR NEWLY ESY4I BLISIIED BUSINESSES <br />Businesses that are newly established or have changed locations may display a temporary <br />sign as defined by Appendix A provided that: <br />• The size of any such sign is not in excess of twenty-lour (24) square feet in area. <br />- 5 - <br />
