MO, <br />10 P:,SE <br />X(P-2 <br />relief report for March 1981, a copy of which is attached hereto, be approved. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />The Board took up for consideration the contracts with Mr. <br />Derrell Mullins, Architect, for his services in making a study of the uses of the <br />present hospital building. The Board approved the contract with a limit of <br />$ 8, 000. 00, for such services and the necessary funds were appropriated from the <br />Contingency Fund for such purpose, all upon motion by Commissioner Lila P. <br />Nielsen, seconded by Commissioner Funderburke, which motion was adopted by a <br />majority vote. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker voted "no". The Board discussed <br />with Mr. Derrell Mullins, the alternatives available in pursuing the project for <br />work at the Sheriff's Department building. Upon motion of Commissioner Jack D. <br />Funderburke, seconded by Commissioner John E. Dotterer, it was resolved to <br />submit the bid for formal bids with the Architect being directed to provide for a <br />sufficient number of alternates that work might be deleted to bring the project <br />within the funds appropriated for such work. The work was adopted by a majority <br />vote with Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, voting "no". <br />The commissioners were reminded that there would be a meeting on <br />April 9, 1981, at 7:30 o'clock p. m. , in the Memorial Roomof the Kennedy Building <br />at the Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, North Carolina, on Congressional <br />Re-Districting. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the granting or allowing <br />for discounts for the payment of ad valorem taxes be discontinued. Commissioner <br />Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, it <br />was adjourned sine die. <br />C <br />
