The Board next received bids for an X-Ray Machine for use by the <br />Health Department. The bids received are as follows: <br />C. T. Harris & Son $ 9,732. 00 <br />Picher Corporation 20,450. 00 <br />B & B X- Ray 10,477.60 <br />Transworld X- Ray 10, 300. 00 <br />Cardinal X- Ray 9,420. 00 <br />Bio-Medical 9, 600. 00 <br />These bids were taken under consideration by the Director of the Health Department <br />and he was requested to report his recommendations to the Board at this meeting. <br />The Board then proceeded to take bids for rehabilitation of four <br />houses in connection with a Community Development Project. The bids received <br />are as shown on the bid tabulation sheet for rehabilitation CD Project#B-80-DN-37-0071. <br />These bids were taken under advisement by the Grants Director. <br />Mr. Tommy Johnson, Director of the Health Department, appeared <br />before the Board and recommended that the low bid of Cardinal X-Ray in the amount <br />of $9, 420. 00, be accepted. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved that the low bid of <br />Cardinal X- Ray in the amount of $9,420. 00 for an x-ray machine at the County Health <br />Department, be accepted. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Mr. Johnson also requested that they be <br />authorized to purchase $1, 100. 00 worth of supplies for use with this machine and <br />Commissioner Nielsen amended her motion to include authorization for such a <br />purchase. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, who had seconded the original motion <br />agreed with the amendment and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next took bids on a front end loader.
