gal, 10 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY <br />OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Tuesday, April 21st, 1981 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room in the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, at 7 o'clock p. m. , on <br />Tuesday, April 21, 1981, Those present were Commissioners John E. Dotterer, <br />Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen and Gordon A. Wicker. Chair- <br />man K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: <br />The Reverend David Early of the First Baptist Church, Sanford, <br />North Carolina, gave the invocation. <br />The minutes of the meetings held on March 20, 1981 and April 6, <br />1981, were approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner John E. <br />Dotterer, seconded by Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, which motion was unanimous- <br />ly adopted upon a vote. <br />The petition for the addition of roads in the subdivision known as <br />"Tramway West',' was presented to the Board. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker <br />moved the adoption of the resolution requesting the addition of said roads to the State <br />System, a copy of which resolution is attached to these minutes and by this reference <br />made a part hereof. <br />At the request of Commissioner Wicker, the Clerk read a letter of <br />Mr. Fred H. Beck, Sr. , Division Engineer, to Mr. Morgan E. Brown, concerning <br />the request of the addition of roads in Quail Ridge Subdivision, to the Board. <br />Mrs. Max Matthews, Chairman of the Lee County Planning Board, <br />appeared before the Board and presented two matters for consideration. The Planning <br />Board requested approval of a subdivision plat of the lands of Margaret Buchanan, <br />which involved a lot transfer to George Wayne Stone. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke <br />moved that the plat be approved and the Chairman be authorized to execute the approp- <br />riate certificate. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. Mrs. Matthews then recommended approval to be given <br />to a subdivision known as "Longstreet Acres", in Cape Fear Township. Commissioner <br />John E. Dotterer moved that the plat be approved and the Chairman be authorized to <br />execute the appropriate certificate. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
