r <br />~QOK 10 96 <br />Mr. Sion Kelly, Clerk of Court, had relayed a request that the <br />Board reappoint Mr. L.F. Meador to the Jury Commission. This was done <br />on motion by Lila Nielsen, seconded by Jack Funderburke and unanimous <br />vote. <br />Commissioner Funderburke made a motion to enter into Executive <br />Session for the purpose of discussing possible land acquisition. Second <br />was made by Lila Nielsen and after unanimous vote the Board entered into <br />Executive Session. Motion was made by Dr. Dotterer and seconded by Lila <br />Nielsen to resume open session. This motion was carried by unanimous <br />vote. Dr. Dotterer made a motion to authorize the Parks & Recreation <br />Department to purchase on behalf of the county 16.62 acres of land located <br />adjacent to San-Lee Park and known as the Elijah Wrenn property for the sum <br />of $17,350 which comprises both the property and the survey fee for <br />determining the acreage. A copy of the surveyor's map is attached and <br />incorporated to these minutes by reference. Lila Nielsen seconded Dr. <br />Dotterer's motion and it was carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Tim Westbrook, Tax Supervisor, appeared before the Board with a <br />list of requested releases and refunds. (Copy Attached) These were <br />unanimously approved on motion by Dr. Dotterer and seconded by Commissioner <br />Wicker. <br />There being no further business to come before e Boar , the meeting <br />was adjourned sine die. <br />
