10 92 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, May 4, 1981 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' Room in the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, at 9:30 o'clock A. M. , on Monday, May 4, 1981. Those present were Commissioners John E. Dotterer, Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: The Reverend Ben Rouse, Pastor of Jonesboro United Methodist Church, gave the invocation. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the minutes of the regular meeting held on April 21, 1981, be approved and ordered recorded. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unan- imously adopted. The County Manager was requested to write Mr. Boyd Douglas and ask him to improve and clean up the approaches to his trailer park at the intersect- ion of St. Andrews Road and the Jonesboro-Tramway Highway. Mr. Hartman was also asked to write Mr. Bernis McIver and ask him to clean up the area around his shop on the Plank Road. Mr. Elwin J. Buchanan, Grants Administrator, appeared before the Board and reviewed his written report on projects under his supervision. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the Board of Commissioners take the necessary steps to have the Board of Commissioners designated and act as the Redevelopment Commission for the County of Lee. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved that the County contract with James B. Godwin & Associates, Inc. , to render technical advice and assistance in connection with the preparation of a full application including Housing Assistance Plan to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, for
