0 0 BOOK 22 PAGE VO The Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, North Carolina, met in a regular meeting in Courtroom 44 in the Oki Courthouse located at 1408'South Horner Boulevard in Sanford, North Carolina at 7:00 p.m. on June 16, 2008. Glenn Edwards Elementary School pursuant to Section 153A-158.1 of the General Statutes of North Carolina for use by the Lee County Board of Education for school purposes in connection with a proposed installment financing agreement to be entered into by the County pursuant to Section 160A-20 of the General Statutes of North Carolina in an amount not to exceed $1,622,021 for the purpose of providing funds, together with any other available funds, to pay the costs of renovating, improving and equipping various public school facilities in the County, including, without limitation, Bragg Street Academy, Broadway Elementary School, Bullock Elementary School, Deep River Elementary School, East Lee Middle School, Floyd L. Knight/Children's Center, Greenwood Elementary School, J. Glenn Edwards Elementary School, J. R. Ingram Elementary School, Lee County Iligh School and West Lee Middle School (collectively, the "Project"). The Chairman acknowledged due publication of a notice of public hearing in a newspaper with general circulation in said County as required by Section 153A-158.1 of the General Statutes of North Carolina and directed the Clerk to the Board to attach the affidavit showing publication in said newspaper on a date at least ten (10) days prior to the date hereof as Exhibit A hereto. The Chairman then announced that the Board of Commissioners would immediately hear anyone who might wish to be heard on the advisability of the proposed acquisition as described above. A list of any persons making comments and a summary of such comments are attached as Exhibit B hereto. r. All statements and comments were duly considered by the Board of Commissioners.
