6~Jt~K d 118 The Chairman next called for discussion of the proposed changes to the Charter of the Triangle J Council of Governments. The present charter, together with the suggested amendments were discussed and reviewed, following which Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved the adoption of the following resolution: WHEREAS, the proposed and recommended amendments to the charter of the Triangle J Council of Governments have been presented to this Board; and WHEREAS, the proposed changes, together with the present charter are set forth in an exhibit which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners approve of said amendments; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the proposed amendments to the charter of the Triangle J Council of Governments, as set forth in the exhibit attached to these minutes be and the same is hereby approved. 2. This action shall be effective when concurred in by the other member governments of Triangle J. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The rosters of the Deep River and Northview Fire Departments were presented to the Board and reviewed. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the County Manager be authorized for and on behalf of the Board, in its capacity as the govern- ing board of said volunteer fire departments to certify that the attached list'is a true and accurate list of all active firemen in said fire departments. The motion was duly seconded by Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the adoption of the resolution entitled ''Resolution to Adopt the Interlocal Agreement and to Join the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners Joint Risk Management Agency Workers' Compensation Fund'', a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted.
