BOOM 10 ,'u. 1369 <br />$550. 00, for a total of $1, 050. 00; and in the budget for the Department of Social <br />Services, Equipment was reduced $260. 00, and Professional Services - Board Members <br />was increased $260. 00; Equipment was reduced $1, 700. 00, and Equipment Rental was <br />increased $1,700. 00; Training was reduced $462. 00, and General Assistance was <br />increased $462.00. <br />The Board next considered the two vacancies on the Commission on <br />Youth which had been created by the resignations by Mrs. Norma Wright and Mrs. <br />Barbara James Howard. Upon motion of Commissioner John E. Dotterer, seconded <br />by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote, <br />it was resolved to appoint Mrs. Effie Lyles to fill the vacancy created by the resignation <br />of Mrs. Norma Wright and to appoint Mrs. Lynn Hutaff to fill the vacancy created by the <br />resignation of Mrs. Barbara James Howard, said appointees to serve for the unexpired <br />portion of said original appointment and until their successors are elected and qualified. <br />The Board next considered the appointment of two members of the <br />Region J Emergency Medical Council. Upon motion of Commissioner John E. Dotterer, <br />seconded by Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, which motion was unanimously adopted <br />upon a vote, it was resolved to appoint Mrs. Daria Campbell and Mrs. Jean Georgiou as <br />members of the Region J Emergency Medical Council, effective July 1, 1981, for the <br />regular term prescribed for members of said council and until their successors are <br />appointed or elected and duly qualify. <br />The Board next considered appointments to the Board of Trustees of <br />the Lee County Library System. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that Dr. J. F. <br />Hockaday, Mrs. Wilson Cox, and Mr. Robert Brickhouse be re-appointed for three-year <br />terms for the Board of Trustees of the Lee County Library System. Commissioner <br />Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />A petition for change in zoning of the County property located at <br />117 Hillcrest Street to allow the property to be re-zoned from R-12 to Office and <br />Institutional District, to allow a group home to be located on the property, was pre- <br />sented to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and duly adopted„ the Chairman was <br />authorized to execute and deliver the petition to allow the change in zoning, to the <br />appropriate city officials. <br />The County Manager reported to the Board that AMI desired to display <br />the metal plaques presently erected in the Lee County Hospital when various additions <br />were built to it, in the new hospital. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that AMI <br />be authorized to display said plaques but that the County retain ownership to them and <br />the right to remove them at any time. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was adopted by a majority vote, in which all of the Commissioner: <br />voted in favor of the motion except Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker who voted against it. <br />
