MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY <br />OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />;1 1 j, 1, <br />Monday, June 15, 1981 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room in the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, at 7:00 o'clock p. M. , <br />on Monday, June 15, 1981. Those present when the meeting opened were Commiss- <br />ioners John E. Dotterer, Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and <br />Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The invocation was given by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, June 1, 1981, <br />were approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Jack D. Funder- <br />burke, seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously <br />adopted upon a vote. <br />The written request of the Northview Rural Fire Department, asking <br />for assistance in paving the driveway and entrance to their fire station was presented to <br />the Board. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption of the following reso- <br />lution: <br />BE IT RESOLVED and the Board of Commissioners <br />for Lee County, hereby approves and requests that the <br />Division of Highways pave the driveway and entrance to the <br />Northview Fire Station. <br />Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Phil Stout, of Williams & Works, appeared before the Board and <br />reviewed a change order to the contract of J. C. Johnson Construction Company, for <br />improvements in the San-Lee Heights area, under contract number H. U. D. B-80-DN- <br />37-0071. The changes were requested by the officials of the City of Sanford and approved <br />
