' ~ij(lY ~~rr 14.` <br />10 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the low bid of Freedom Construction Company <br />in the amount of $88, 206. 00, for general construction at the <br />jail is hereby accepted and the officers of the Board are auth- <br />orized and directed to enter into a contract with said party <br />for such work at that price. <br />2. That the low bid of Riddick Plumbing Company , in <br />the amount of $13, 005. 00, for plumbing work at the jail is <br />hereby accepted and the officers of the Board are authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract with said party for such <br />work at that price. <br />3. That the Budget Amendment Appropriation Adjustment <br />No. 810698, which is attached to these minutes, is hereby <br />adopted. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote, Commissioners Dotterer, Funderburke, Nielsen and Harmon voted for the <br />resolution and Commissioner Wicker voted against it. The Chairman declared the <br />resolution adopted by a majority vote. <br />The County Manager next presented a Budget Admendment designated <br />as Appropriation Adjustment Number 810699, a copy of which is attached hereto and by <br />this reference made a part hereof. The Budget Amendment was reviewed and discussed. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the Budget Amendment designated as Approp- <br />riation Adjustment Number 810699, be amended to show the purchase of land at San-Lee <br />Park at the price of $17, 500. 00, and as so amended, the same be adopted. Commiss- <br />ioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The County Manager, in his capacity as the Budget Officer, next <br />reviewed the Budget and discussed various proposals primarily those relating to the <br />appropriation for the public schools . Following discussions of the reviews and <br />amendments on school funding, Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption <br />of the following Budget Ordinance: <br />
