Dotterer moved that the <br />County accept the proposal of Equitable Life Insurance Company for furnishing health <br />insurance coverage for the County employees and that the appropriate County officials <br />be authorized to take such steps as are necessary to place such plan into effect. <br />The Board next considered statement of values as to County property <br />for insurance coverage purposes. The statements were reviewed and in some instances <br />amendments were made and additions were made for certain contents. After the <br />review and corrections, Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the statement of <br />values as amended, be approved and the Chairman be authorized to execute the docu- <br />ments for and on behalf of the-County. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next considered the report from the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission concerning a gang mower which has a value of approximately $150. 00 to <br />$200. 00. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />OF THE COUNTY OF LEE, desires to dispose of certain <br />surplus property of the County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD <br />OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF LEE, that: <br />1. The following described property is hereby declared <br />to be surplus to the needs of the County: <br />One (1) three (3) reel gang mower, inventory Number <br />45-1112 <br />2. The Director of Parks and Recreation Commission <br />is authorized to dispose of the described property by private sale <br />at a negotiated price. <br />3. The Clerk to the Board shall cause this Resolution to <br />be published in accordance with G. S. 160A-267. <br />4. The sale may be consummated not earlier than 10 days <br />from the date of publication. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. <br />
