CtioK 10 I is$ <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a roll <br />call vote, Commissioners Dotterer, Nielsen and Harmon voted for it and Commissioners <br />Funderburke and Wicker voted against it. The Chairman declared the Ordinance <br />adopted by a majority vote. <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved the adoption of the following <br />re s olu ti on: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. There is hereby levied for each fiscal year hereafter <br />a privilege tax in the maximum amount allowed by statute <br />(presently $200. 00), upon any Gypsies or strolling bands of <br />persons as defined and permitted to be taxed under G. S. 105- <br />58(b) who are granted the right to practice such arts and <br />crafts under Chapter 766, Session Laws of 1955. <br />2. This levy shall be effective beginning with the fiscal <br />year ending June 30, 1981, and each succeeding fiscal year <br />thereafter until further action by this Board or amendment of <br />said General Statutes by the General Assembly of the State of <br />North Carolina. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, it was <br />adjourned. <br />CHAIRMAN <br />
