r,~;; 10 r,cE 160 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, July 6th, 1981 The regular meeting of'the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, July 6, 1981, at 9:30 o'clock a.m., in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building. Those present when the meeting opened were Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner John E. Dotterer joined the meeting later, The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by Chairman K. S. Harmon. The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on Wednesday, June 24, 1981, were considered and reviewed. While the minutes were being dis- cussed, Commissioner John E. Dotterer joined the meeting and participated in the further deliberations of the Board. Commissioner John E. Dotterer noted a correction in the minutes and Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker had several questions concerning the budget resolution. Following this discussion and review, Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved that the minutes as corrected be adopted and ordered recorded. Comm- issioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. A resolution asking the Division of Highways to take over the main - tenance of the road known as Rorer Way. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved the adoption of the resolution entitled "Resolution Regarding Rorer Way", a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Comm- issioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopte- Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that Chairman K. S. Harmon be appointed the voting delegate and Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen be appointed as alternate voting delegate to the 74th Annual Conference of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners to be held in Winston-Salem. Commissioner Jack D. Funder- burke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted.
