aoo,K io <br />(C) The County shall assume the rental cost <br />(which cost includes maintenance) of the Police Infor- <br />mation Network terminal in the amount of $200. 00 <br />(per month) beginning from date of installation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the <br />installation of a Police Information Network terminal be and <br />it is hereby formally approved by the Board of Commiss- <br />ioners of Lee County, North Carolina, and that the Chairman <br />of the Board of County Commissioners of this County be and <br />they are hereby empowered to sign and execute the required <br />Agreement between this County and the North Carolina De- <br />partment of Justice Police Information Network. <br />Mr. Billy Ray Cameron, Emergency Management Coordinator, <br />appeared before the Board on behalf of the Lemon Springs Fire Department and <br />requested the County to ask the Board of Education to transfer the teacherage <br />at Lemon Springs to the County. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that <br />the County request the Lee County Board of Education to transfer title of the <br />Teacherage at Lemon Springs to the County. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen second- <br />ed the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The written request of Central Carolina Technical College <br />for 4, 000 square feet of space at the Lee County Hospital was presented to the <br />Board and discussed. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the County <br />ask AMI or its local subsiduary to make space available to the Central Carolina <br />Technical College as requested. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsenseconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the County <br />request AMI or its local subsiduary to make available to the County, the <br />use of the morgue in the present hospital building, since no such facility <br />is included in the new AMI building. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Bobby Johnson, Superintendent of the Landfill, appeared <br />before the Board and recommended the purchase of the Fiat-Atlas Scraper, at <br />the price of $57, 670. 00, as being the best equipment at the most reasonable <br />price. The decision of whether to purchase a used piece of equipment or <br />purchase a new one was debated at length. The Chairman called for the <br />pleasure of the Board and Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved <br />that the Board accept the recommendation of the Superintendent of the <br />Landfill and purchase the Fiat-Atlas Scraper for $57, 670. 00. Commissioner <br />Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commissioners Dotter- <br />er, Funderburke, Nielsen and Harmon voted for the motion and Commissioner <br />
