Third, Mr. Barefoot presented the Final Plat of the Creekwood Subdivision, <br />Section I. This section involves 23 lots of approximately five acrea each and is in a <br />125 acre tract of land lying west of Pocket Creek and located off of the Carbonton <br />Road, which is Secondary Road No. 1318. The Final Plat was approved, subject to <br />the owners depositing with the County a letter of credit in lieu of prior construction <br />of the improvements required by the County Subdivision Ordinance, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was duly seconded by Commissioner <br />Jack D. Funderburke and unanimously adopted upon a vote. Fourth, Mr. Barefoot <br />presented the Preliminary Plat for Quail Ridge Town House Subdivision, which is <br />located off of U. S. Highway No. 1, south of Sanford, where the Quail Ridge Sales <br />Office is located. The plat depicted 17 lots which will be developed as Town House <br />Sites. The Preliminary Plat was approved, upon motion of Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker, duly seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was <br />unanimously adopted upon a vote. The Board requested that the Planner present <br />further information concerning the septic systems at the time the Final Plat for <br />this subdivision is submitted for approval. <br />Mr. Elwin Buchanan, Grants Director, appeared before the Board <br />and reported that only two bids had been received for re-habilitation project and that <br />he recommended that they not be opened and the project be re-advertised for consid- <br />eration on August 28, 1981. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the. Grants <br />Director be authorized and directed to re-advertise the re-habilitation projects for <br />consideration by the Board at a special meeting on August 28, 1981. Commissioner <br />Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Elwin Buchanan presented a change order designated as "Change Order No. <br />Four (4)", to the contract between Lee County and Wham & Hunt Construction Company, <br />for raising two man holes and adjusting water valve boxes on Rhyne Drive and McLeod <br />Drive to the finished street grade. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved that <br />the Change Order be approved and that the Chairman be authorized to execute the <br />same for and on behalf of the County. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen and seconded <br />by Commissioner John E. Dotterer, for the adoption of the following resolution, and <br />upon being put to a vote was duly adopted: <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />has requested the Department of Transportation to perform <br />the following highway related work for said Board of Commission- <br />ers on a cost reimbursement basis in accordance with Sections <br />2E. 0501 and 2E. 0502 of Title 19A of the North Carolina <br />Administrative Code: <br />Rough grading, drainage and stabilization of <br />Rhyne Drive from McLeod Drive to dead end <br />located within the Lee County Industrial Park <br />at Sanford; <br />
