0- <br />30L'K 255 <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Friday, August 28th, 1981 <br />The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners <br />for the County of Lee, convened in the Commissioners' Room, in the County Office <br />Building, 200 Wicker Street, in the City of Sanford, North Carolina, at twelve o'clock <br />noon, on Friday, August 28th, 1981. Those present were Commissioners Jack D. <br />Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner <br />John E. Dotterer was absent. The Chairman declared a quorum present and.the <br />meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />The Chairman presided and the following business was transacted: <br />Mr. Elwin J. Buchanan, Grants Director, appeared before the <br />Board and proceeded to open the bids received on the Re-habilitation Project under <br />the Community Development Program. The bids received are as shown on the bid <br />tabulation sheet which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, which motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen and unanimously adopted upon a vote, it was <br />resolved to authorize the Grants Department to award contracts with the low bidders <br />and to reject any low bid that the Grants Department finds to be in excess of reason- <br />able costs, as determined by their review. <br />There being no further business to come before the meeting, it <br />was adjourned. <br />CHAIRMAN <br />
