,,rc <br />rnrv 10 ass <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, September 21, 1981 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, September 21, 1981, <br />at 7:00 o'clock p. m. , in the Commissioners' Room, on the second floor of the <br />County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />were Commissioners John E. Dotterer, Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, <br />Lila P. Nielsen and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present <br />and the meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The invocation was given by the Reverend Dick Bolls, Pastor of the <br />Pocket Presbyterian Church. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the minutes of the <br />adjourned regular meeting held on August 28, 1981 and,the minutes of the regular <br />meeting held on September 8, 1981, be approved and ordered recorded. Comm- <br />issioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved that the Board go into <br />Executive Session to consider the employment of an independent contractor. Comm- <br />issioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimous- <br />ly adopted. Following the Executive Session, Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved <br />that the Executive Session be ended and the Board resume its open meeting. Comm- <br />issioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />
