,,rc rnrv 10 ass MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, September 21, 1981 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, September 21, 1981, at 7:00 o'clock p. m. , in the Commissioners' Room, on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were Commissioners John E. Dotterer, Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by the Reverend Dick Bolls, Pastor of the Pocket Presbyterian Church. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on August 28, 1981 and,the minutes of the regular meeting held on September 8, 1981, be approved and ordered recorded. Comm- issioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved that the Board go into Executive Session to consider the employment of an independent contractor. Comm- issioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimous- ly adopted. Following the Executive Session, Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the Executive Session be ended and the Board resume its open meeting. Comm- issioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted.
