10 zac~ 270 <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Tuesday, September 29, 1981 <br />The special meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 12:00 o'clock noon on Tuesday, <br />September 29, 1981, in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, the same being the <br />time, date, and place named in the call issued by the Chairman, pursuant to North <br />Carolina General Statute 153A-40(b). Those present were Commissioners John E. <br />Dotterer, Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. <br />Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the <br />transaction of business. <br />Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />Mr. Elwin J. Buchanan, Grants Administrator, appeared and <br />reviewed the terms of the grant agreement between the United States of America, <br />as one party, and the City of Sanford and County of Lee, as the other parties. <br />The following resolution was introduced by Jack D. Funderburke, <br />seconded by Lila P. Nielsen, read in full, considered and adopted: <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING, ADOPTING, <br />APPROVING, ACCEPTING AND RATIFYING THE <br />EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT <br />NO. 5-37-0065-04, BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES <br />OF AMERICA AND COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF COMMISS- <br />IONERS OF THE COUNTY OF LEE: <br />SECTION 1. That said Board of Commissioners <br />hereby authorizes, adopts, approves, accepts and ratifies <br />the execution of Grant Agreement between the Federal <br />
