aOOX 10 PAGE <br />2. The County Attorney is authorized to receive <br />in the Board of Commissioners' behalf bids at public <br />auction for the purchase of the described property. <br />3. The public auction will be held on Saturday, <br />October 31st, 1981, at 2:00 o'clock p. m. , at the Lee <br />County Courthouse. The terms of the sale shall be cash. <br />4. The County Clerk shall cause a notice of the <br />public auction to be published in accordance with G. S. <br />160A- 270(b). <br />5. The person making the highest bid shall deposit <br />with the County Clerk an amount equal to 5% of the bid. <br />6. The highest bid, if it complies with the terms of sale, <br />may be accepted by the County Attorney and the sale consummated. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Representatives of the Cameron Fire Department appeared before <br />the Board and requested an increase of funds for support of their fire prevention <br />program in that portion of Lee County serviced by their department. Commiss- <br />ioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the payment to the Cameron Fire Department <br />be increased to $1, 800. 00 a year. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the order to the Tax <br />Collector to collect the levy for the 1981-82 fiscal year, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto, be adopted. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. . . , . <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Department of <br />Transportation officials be requested to pave and improve the entrance way to the <br />Fire Station at Lemon Springs.
