G~~K 10 2~3 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />A <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, October 5th, 1981 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, October 5, 1981, at 9:30 <br />o'clock a. m. , in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office <br />Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were <br />Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon and Lila P. Nielsen. Comm- <br />issioners John E. Dotterer and Gordon A. Wicker were absent when the meeting <br />opened, although both joined the meeting shortly after it opened. The Chairman <br />declared a quorum present and the meeting open for business. <br />Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The County Attorney, K. R. Hoyle, gave the invocation. <br />The minutes. of the regular meeting held on September 21, 1981 and <br />the special meeting held on September 29th, 1981, were considered and were <br />approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, <br />which motion was duly seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, and unanimously <br />adopted upon a vote. <br />There were no road petitions for consideration by the Board, <br />however, it was announced that the meeting with the Department of Transportation <br />officials concerning secohdary roads had been scheduled for the regular meeting to <br />be held on October 19th, 1981. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer joined the meeting and participated <br />in the further deliberations of the Board. <br />Mr. Donn Gunderson, Director of the Department of Social Services, <br />appeared before the Board and discussed the Federal Energy Program. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker joined the meeting and participated <br />
