10 29G 0- <br />NORTH CAROLTN_A - - October 16, 1981 <br />The Lec County Co:nmi.ssioncrs met on in a regular <br />a,.oct ill,; and till nninion s I.y ndopt:(: d Hie- fol.I Qc5tobe-rd3-9p 19&1: <br />IIh:R!:^•S Clio North CnroI i.'in Del) r-tmcnt of I-eanspor'tati-on with Governor Hunt's Good <br />Road's Program allocated funds of $88,228.00 are available for rural secondary <br />road improvements in lee County for the forthcoming construction season, <br />also, to reallocate $16,000.00 of the 1980-1981 Secondary Road Funds together <br />with $30,000.00 of the 1981 Secondary Bond Funds or a total of $134,228.00 <br />funds to be allocated, a public hearing was held on in the <br />Lee County Office Building on expenditure of said fdndactober 19, 1981 <br />TdHEREAS, it is proposed to retain 20% of the 1981-1982 proposed allocation of <br />$88,228.00 or $17,646.00 for small projects that may come up during the year <br />such as road additions, property owner participation projects, volunteer <br />fire department and rescue squad drives, project overruns, etc. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners recognizes the great need for improvement <br />of secondary roads in Lee County; and <br />T 1EP. FAS, Department of. Transportation Ofl''ici.al.s have sa'i.d that funds from Governor 11u nC's <br />'rood Roads Program in the amount of $134,228.00 have been allocated to Lee <br />County for improvement of secondary roads for Fiscal Year 1981 - 1982; and <br />T.rdEREAS, the Department of Transportation presented to us a priority list of roads in <br />Lee County '.etermined by the statewide criteria for consideration and <br />approval. <br />WHEREAS, i- proposer! to survey, secure right of way, grade, drain, base, pave, and <br />erosion control straight down the priority list for the following projects <br />within available funds, provided rights of way are available. <br />Projects to be considered for completion or stage construction are as follows <br />to utilize $86,582.00. <br />1. SR 1203 (McCormick Road) from SR 1144 to DE - Length 0.36 mi <br />2.
