noR: 10 t G 291 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, October 19, 1981 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, October 19, 1981, at 7:00 <br />o'clock p. m. , in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office <br />Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were Jack <br />D. Funderburke, Lila P. Nielsen and Gordon A. Wicker, when the meeting opened. <br />Absent were Commissioners John E. Dotterer and K. S. Harmon. The Vice Chair- <br />man declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />Vice Chairman Lila P. Nielsen presided and the following business <br />was transacted: <br />The County Manager, Mr. Walter B. Hartman, Jr. , opened the <br />meeting with prayer. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting held on October 5th, 1981, <br />were approved and ordered recorded upon motion of Commissioner Jack D. Funder- <br />burke, which motion was seconded by Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, and unani- <br />mously adopted upon a vote. <br />The County Manager reported to the Board that he had issued <br />appropriation adjustment no. 81101906, in order to pay for professional services <br />that had been performed. The Board directed that a copy of the appropriation <br />adjustment be attached to these minutes and made a part thereof. <br />The County Manager reported to the Board that there needed to be <br />a budget amendment as set forth in appropriation adjustment no. 81101907, which <br />provided for the salaries for the energy program in the Department of Social Services, <br />the salaries for the new jailer and the adjustment for the Cameron fire district and <br />to budget a grant for the Horton Pool. The matter was discussed, following which <br />Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved that the budget be amended as set out in <br />budget appropriation adjustment no. 81101907, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />by this reference incorporated herein. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded <br />the motion and upon a roll call vote, Commissioners Funderburke, Wicker and Nielsen <br />voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />
