BOOK 22 PAGE 76 <br />C <br />Aye: Brown, Kelly, Lemmond, Paschal, Quiggle, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the Consent Agenda as presented, which <br />consisted of the following items: <br />• Minutes from the March 17, 2008 regular meeting, <br />• Minutes from the March 24, 2008 work session with the Board of Education, <br />• Resolution in memory of Dr. William White (copy attached), <br />• Bid from Sanford Contractors in the amount of $715,000 for Tramway Road Park <br />Phase II; <br />• Acceptance of $17,400 from local Rotary Clubs for the construction of a shelter at <br />Tramway Road Park, <br />• Budget Amendment #04/07/08/#20 (copy attached), and <br />• Application for Lottery funds to be applied to debt service for the Board of <br />Education (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Brown, Kelly, Lemmond, Paschal, Quiggle, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond read the Resolution in Memory of Dr. William (Bill) White and <br />presented said resolution to Dr. White's wife. <br />The following individuals spoke during the Public Comments section of the meeting: <br />- Michelle Morie, 2642 Buckingham Drive, Sanford <br />- Keith Clark, 233 Chris Cole Road, Sanford <br />- Jeff Coggins, 236 Wendy Lane, Sanford <br />- Bill Carter, 2916 Forest Glen, Sanford <br />- Houston Rickard, 823 Walker Road, Sanford <br />- Landon Baucom, President of the Sanford-Lee County Youth Council <br />- Jay Hollingsworth, 148 Courtside Lane, Sanford <br />- William McIntyre, 148 Courtside Lane, Sanford <br />Mr. Mike Watson, Executive Director from Sandhills Center Mental Health appeared <br />before the Board and discussed the Sandhills Quarterly Report for period ending December 31, <br />2007. Mr. Watson also discussed Lee County's Community Access Unit which handles walk-in <br />and telephone clients on a 24-hour 7 days per week basis, screening, triage and referral statistics, <br />the number of consumers served, client counts by service, hospital admission trends, State and <br />community hospital admissions, and Medicaid support services. Mr. Watson stated that the <br />Sandhills Center was not asking for any additional funding for the upcoming year. No action was <br />taken. <br />2 <br />
