BOOK 22 PAGE <br />Resolution Asking the Board of Elections to Hold a Special Election - County Manager <br />John Crumpton presented a resolution asking the Board of Elections to hold a special election for <br />the levy of a local '/4-cent sales tax on May 6, 2008. After some discussion, Commissioner Kelly <br />moved to approve the resolution and recommend to the full Board a Resolution by the Lee County <br />Board of Commissioners Requesting the Lee County Board of Elections Hold A Special Election <br />Advisory Referendum for the Levy of a Local Sales Tax. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Kelly, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />Chairman Reives moved the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Resolution Stating Intended Uses if '/-Cent Sales Tax Passes - County Manager John <br />Crumpton presented a resolution for consideration asking the Board to designate revenue from <br />the '/4-cent sales tax for specific purposes. Mr- Crumpton stated the resolution had been slightly <br />amended from the one furnished in the agenda package. After some discussion, Commissioner <br />Kelly moved to approve the amended resolution and recommend to the full Board a Resolution by <br />the Lee County Board of Commissioners Stating the Intended Uses of the 2007 44-Cent Sales Tax <br />Revenue if the Advisory Referendum for the Levy of a Local Tax Passes by Majority Vote. Upon <br />a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Kelly, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />Chairman Reives moved the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Recommended 2009-2013 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) - County Manager John <br />Crumpton passed out the recommended CIP for review. <br />With no further business to come before the Finance Committee, Commissioner Kelly <br />moved to adjourn the meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Kelly, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />Chairman Reives moved the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />adjourned in keeping with the motion. <br />C G''G~l /it/ Yi <br />Robert T.
