BK:00025 PG:0215 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Manager John Crumpton reminded Board members of the change in meeting <br />time for the November 19 meeting to 2:00. <br />Commissioner Parks moved to go into closed session to discuss matters relating to the <br />location or expansion of a business in the area per N. C. General Statute § 143- 318.11(a) (4), <br />and to consider personnel matters per N. C. General Statute § 143- 318.11(a) (6). Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board was in <br />closed session. Upon returning from closed session, the regular meeting resumed. <br />Commissioner's Parks and Womack were absent for the remainder of the meeting. <br />At 6 p.m. the Lee County Board of Commissioners held the first of two public hearings <br />advertised for this date and time. The first public hearing was to hear comments from the <br />public in reference to the Schedule of Values for the 2013 Revaluation Project. Appraisal <br />Manager Lisa Faulkner stated that the public hearing had been advertised for the public to <br />speak either for or against the recommended 2013 Schedule of Values as presented to <br />Commissioners at their October 15 meeting. <br />Chairman Shook opened the public hearing. <br />No one present spoke for or against the Schedule of Values. <br />Chairman Shook closed the public hearing. <br />The second public hearing is a required hearing prior to approving the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation FY 2013 -14 Community Transportation Program Grant <br />Application. Senior Services Director Debbie Davidson outlined the funding levels for the <br />proposed grant which include the following: <br />Administrative — $155,947.00 — local 15% match of $23,392.00 <br />Capital — $180,800.00 for the replacement of 4 vehicles — regular lift equipped <br />with 2 wheel chair stations — local 10% match of $18,080.00 <br />Chairman Shook opened the public hearing. <br />The following spoke in support of the grant application: <br />1.
