Motion: Motion to approve the proposed UDO text amendment, with a <br /> revision to Section 5.45.9 to add the word customers before parking spaces, <br /> because the proposed text amendment appears to be reasonable and in the <br /> public interest since it creates a new business opportunity for property <br /> owners with development standards to protect other businesses and property <br /> owners in the area. <br /> Mover: Dr. Andre Knecht <br /> For: 5 - Dr. Andre Knecht, Robert Reives, Kirk Smith, Bill Carver, Taylor Vorbeck <br /> Abstain: 2 - Cameron Sharpe, Mark Lovick <br /> Motion Result: Passed <br /> V. NEW BUSINESS <br /> V.A Results from the 2023 Employee Survey <br /> Lee County NCACC/ICMA Management Fellow Ben McQueary provided a <br /> presentation on the employee survey results, a copy of which is attached and <br /> incorporated inro these minutes. Mr. McQueary recommended conducting this <br /> survey every year to set an accurate benchmark. <br /> V.B Resolution Supporting Compression Increases for the NC Division of Juvenile <br /> Justice and Delinquency Prevention Detention, Youth Development Center, and <br /> Court Services Staff <br /> Moved to the Consent Agenda. <br /> Lee County Board of Commissioner Resolution DRAFT JJ Facilities Court <br /> Services Compression Support 12.8.2022 (002).docx <br /> VI. MANAGERS REPORTS <br /> County Manager Lisa Minter said at the last meeting she was asked to provide <br /> information on the CCCC library and Moore Center projects. Information was <br /> distributed to the Board. Mrs. Minter said staff is currently working on the information <br /> related to the pay plan. She asked for the Board's guidance on whether to have a <br /> special called meeting to have the consultant present the pay plan or to have staff <br /> present. The consultant was not available during either the April or May regular <br /> meetings. The Board gave consensus that the information be presented by staff. <br /> VII. COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS <br /> Commissioner Bill Carver requested that the Board evaluate the impact of incorporating a <br /> supplement for teachers in the County's budget due to the overwhelming support <br /> expressed for the supplement at the Sanford Area Growth Alliance Public Policy <br /> Luncheon event. Mrs. Minter said budget meetings will begin prior to the regular meeting <br /> on May 15th. Chairman Smith shared a letter issued from the Governor's Office regarding <br /> the NC Parks and Recreation Authority, a matching grant in the amount of$400,000 for <br /> the O.T. Sloan Accessibility Project. <br /> Vill.
