Motion: Motion that the Board of Commissioners deny the proposed <br /> zoning map amendment because the site is not appropriate for the land <br /> uses proposed by the applicant. <br /> Mover: Taylor Vorbeck <br /> For: 7 - Dr. Andre Knecht, Robert Reives, Cameron Sharpe, Kirk Smith, Bill Carver, <br /> Mark Lovick, Taylor Vorbeck <br /> Motion Result: Passed <br /> IV.0 UDO Text Amendment for Mobile Food Vending Unit standards Commissioners <br /> Cameron Sharpe and Mark Lovick requested to be excused from participating in <br /> items IV. C and IV. D, which pertain to text amendments to the Unified Development <br /> Ordinance related to food trucks, due to a conflict of interest. Commissioner Sharpe <br /> works with Code Enforcement under the Planning Department, which is funded by <br /> the County even though Code Enforcement is a service only provided in the City of <br /> Sanford, and Commissioner Lovick owns a shaved ice truck. The Planning Board <br /> met on March 20th and recommended by a six to one vote that the Lee County <br /> Board of Commissioners approve the proposed Unified Development Ordinance text <br /> amendment with the noted revisions for Article 5 Supplemental Developmental <br /> Regulations to add regulations pertaining to the definition, location and standards for <br /> mobile food vendors under "5.45 Mobile Food Vendors."Staff presented the text <br /> amendment to the Joint Planning Commission, which was supported by the <br /> Commission. The City of Sanford and Town of Broadway have voted to adopt the <br /> "Mobile Food Vendor"text amendment to the UDO. Amy McNeil, Sanford/Lee <br /> County Zoning Administrator, reviewed the proposed revisions with the Board. <br /> Commissioner Knecht voiced concerns regarding the requirement of a permit <br /> issuance, but was ok with the supplemental uses provided for in the ordinance. A <br /> copy of the approved UDO text amendment for "Mobile Food Vendors" with the <br /> requested revisions is attached and incorporated into these minutes. <br /> Chairman Smith called for a five minute break at 7:32 p.m. <br /> 03-MFV TA-Binder-v2.pdf <br /> Motion: Motion to excuse Commissioners Lovick and Sharpe from items IV.
