NORTH CAROLINA SERVICE CONTRACT F LEE COUNTY a anr�p ,zo THIS CONTRACT is made, and entered into this the "1 ' day of becemner,ir227,by and between the COUNTY OF LEE, a political subdivision of the State of North Carolina, (hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY"), and SANFORD OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION, (hereinafter referred to as "CONTRACTOR"). For and in consideration of mutual promises made to each other as hereinafter set forth,the parties do mutually agree and contract as follows: 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES. The CONTRACTOR will secure and provide the services of certified or otherwise qualified officials to oversee all athletic games scheduled by Lee County Parks and Recreation and will provide the number of officials required for the games and matches indicated in provision 3 below. In the event Lee County Parks and Recreation will require additional officials above the numbers f delineated herein, it shall promptly notify CONTRACTOR with the additional request and the additional officials shall be paid at the same rates. All Officials shall be Officials of the Sanford Officials Association which is solely responsible for 1 training,game assignment,performing background checks, and payment of its officials. Sanford Officials Association is responsible for complying with all safety and employment related laws and regulations applicable to their Officials. All Officials are expected to conduct themselves according to the Code of Conduct for Officials. Any complaint about an Official will be made directly to the booking agent who will be responsible for any disciplinary actions that may be warranted. Time is of the essence E with respect to all provisions of this Contract that specify a time for performance. 2.TERM OF CONTRACT. The Term of this Contract for Services is for two years,beginning the 1 st day of Januarv,2023 throuah the 3 1"day of December 2025,unless sooner terminated as provided herein or modified in writing signed by both parties. 3.PAYMENT TO CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR shall receive from COUNTY the amounts listed below as compensation for the provision of Services unless the contract is terminated or modified: Age Group Program/Number of Officials Payment Per Game or Per Match Youth 7—8 Co-ed Basketball 0 official) $40.00 each official includes booking fee Youth 10— 12 Basketball (2 officials) $40.00 each official includes booking fee Youth 13 — 14 Basketball (2 officials) $45.00 each official includes booking fee Youth 7—8 Coach Pitch(1 umpire) $45.00 each official includes booking fee Youth 9— 10 Baseball(2 umpires) $45.00 each official includes booking fee !
