VII.CFY 2023-2024 Budget Procedure Calendar <br /> Finance Director Candace Iceman presented the Budget Procedure Calendar to the <br /> Board for approval. The calendar is tentative, and work sessions are not listed at this <br /> time. <br /> 2023-24 Budget Calendar.pdf <br /> Motion: Motion to approve the FY 2023-2024 Budget Procedure Calendar. <br /> Mover: Bill Carver <br /> For: 6 - Dr. Andre Knecht, Robert Reives, Cameron Sharpe, Bill Carver, Mark <br /> Lovick, Taylor Vorbeck <br /> Absent: 1 - Kirk Smith <br /> Motion Result: Passed <br /> Vill. MANAGERS REPORTS <br /> Dr. Crumpton was asked by Margaret Murchison to share upcoming Martin Luther King, <br /> Jr. events. On Sunday, January 15, at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Park on Horner <br /> Boulevard, there will be a wreath ceremony at 2 p.m. On Monday, January 16 at the <br /> Dennis Wicker Civic Center, there will be programs at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dr. Crumpton <br /> also provided a couple updates on projects. The multi -sports complex should be out to <br /> bid in mid- to late-March and we should hopefully receive bids around the beginning of <br /> May. The new library will be picking up steam this summer. Our Construction Manager at <br /> Risk, SAMET/Sanford Contractors, is anticipating to get pricing then and will report back <br /> to the Board with updates at that time. The Horton Park Pool project is moving along and <br /> we are still looking at a May 1 substantial completion date and opening on Memorial Day <br /> weekend. Staff is meeting with the state at the Endor Iron Furnace site to walk the site <br /> with them and discuss possible partnerships on the site. <br /> IX.
