PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> IV.A Zoning Text Amendment to the Lee County Unified Development Ordinance <br /> Zoning Administrator Amy McNeill presented to the Board for consideration a text <br /> amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance, Table 4.6-1 Permitted Use <br /> Matrix to revise the land use categories "Religious Complex (less than 350 seats), <br /> new site"and "Religious Complex (more than 350 seats), new site"to remove the <br /> prohibition preventing this land use from being located within the Central <br /> Business District (CBD) zoning classification. <br /> Vice-Chairman Knecht opened the public hearing at 6:14 p.m. <br /> No one spoke in favor or in opposition. <br /> Vice-Chairman Knecht closed the public hearing at 6:15 p.m. <br /> 03-TA-RELIGIOUS COMPLEXES IN CBD.pdf <br /> IV.B Zoning Text Amendment to the Lee County Unified Development Ordinance Zoning <br /> Administrator Amy McNeill presented to the Board for consideration a text <br /> amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance, Article 5 Supplemental <br /> Development Regulations to add supplemental development regulations pertaining <br /> to the definition, location, and standards for mobile food vendors under "5.45 Mobile <br /> Food Vendors." This would allow for more flexibility for staff in issuing permits for <br /> food trucks, a more practical administration of the food truck's use and operation <br /> throughout the community, and increased public safety by facilitating more <br /> coordination with Lee County and other counties'health departments. The proposed <br /> standards include permitted locations of use, the location of food vendors within a <br /> particular site, and the safe preparation and handling of food and disposal of <br /> resultant waste. The Planning department currently lumps in food truck permits with <br /> all Temporary Uses Permits and staff feels that it is a unique enough use to have its <br /> own unique standards. Vice-Chairman Knecht asked about the limiting uses in the <br /> amendment, such as one food truck per lot. Staff determined this was reasonable <br /> based on research conducted. Staff is also working on a food truck parks text <br /> amendment that would allow locations to have more than one food truck at one <br /> time. Vice-Chairman Knecht asked why the two amendments were not being <br /> presented altogether. Ms. McNeill explained that there was more demand for the <br /> initial single food truck at one location, so staff began researching that first and will <br /> look into the food truck parks next.
