Submittals will include a 90% <br /> Preliminary and 100%Final and Final Sealed Plans along with bid documents. <br /> Task 6— Traffic Signal Design <br /> WSP will develop traffic signal plans to modify the existing traffic signal located at the US 421 Southbound <br /> Ramps and NC 42 intersection to add the site access approach as well as the proposed roadway <br /> improvements on US 421 Southbound Ramps and NC 42. WSP will design the traffic signal in conformance <br /> to NCDOT Standards.The signal will be designed to use the NCDOT standard 332 cabinet,2070 controller, <br /> SE-PAC local software, and inductive loop detection. <br /> The signal plans will be prepared in English units and will include the preparation of the following items: <br /> Intersection Layout Plan: This plan will reflect the overall layout of the intersection showing the items <br /> proposed for construction. Items on the plans will consist of intersection striping and marking location(not <br /> to be considered a pavement marking plan); detection zones; identification of new conduit runs;signal head <br /> placement; pole locations; location of the controller cabinet (as directed by the NCDOT); pull boxes; <br /> phasing diagram; a timing chart; loop detection chart; a table of operation; notes; signal heads and sign <br /> legends. <br /> Electrical Details Plan: This plan will include traffic signal cabinet configuration, intersection specific <br /> controller programming requirements for signal operation, and include details for: the signal monitor <br /> programming, signal head hook-up requirements, detection rack layout, detector configuration, and <br /> equipment information notes. <br /> Provided by the Client <br /> The client is expected to provide the following items: <br /> Topographical Land Survey: US 421 Southbound Ramps and NC 42 intersection based on the traffic signal <br /> survey request form <br /> Site Civil Design Plans and CADD files for the US 421 Southbound Ramps and NC 42 intersection <br /> Exclusions <br /> ➢ Erosion Control design <br /> ➢ Stormwater control measures <br /> ➢ Permits <br /> Deliverables <br /> Task I—Project Administration <br /> ➢ Initial Project Schedule <br /> ➢ Documentation of General Coordination activities <br /> ➢ Monthly Progress Reports and Invoices <br /> Task 2—Roadway Design <br /> ➢ Design Assumptions Submittal <br /> o Design Assumptions <br /> o Typical Sections <br /> ➢ Preliminary 30% Submittal <br /> o Title Sheet <br /> o Typical Sections Sheets <br />
