The preliminary design plans will be prepared in accordance with <br /> but not limited to: <br /> • NCDOT Roadway Design Manual <br /> • 2018 NCDOT Roadway Standard Drawings <br /> • 2018 NCDOT Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures <br /> • Policy on Street and Driveway Access to North Carolina Highways (NCDOT) <br /> • A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets AASHTO 2018 <br /> WSP shall prepare Design Assumptions & Typical Sections for review and approval by NCDOT, Lee <br /> County and City of Sanford before starting the preliminary plans. WSP will prepare 30%preliminary plans <br /> using approved design assumptions to meet as stated above the guidelines at a scale of 1"=50' horizontal <br /> and 1"=10'vertical. WSP shall prepare 30%preliminary cross sections and Roadway Design using Geopak <br /> and Corridor Modeler. All cross sections shall be completed in 50-foot increments for standard roadway <br /> sections. <br /> The Roadway typical sections will include the following: <br /> Westbound NC 42: A 11-ft left-turn lane with median island within existing 16-ft median <br /> Eastbound NC 42: A 5-ft bike lane and 12-ft right turn lane, Curb and Gutter <br /> Site Access: 12-ft travel lanes at intersection with NC 42, Curb and Gutter <br /> WSP will submit a full-size set of the 30%Design Plans in pdf format for review. <br /> Task 2.2— 75% Plan Submittal <br /> WSP will submit a full-size set of the 75%Design Plans in pdf format to include the following: <br /> • Title Sheet <br /> • Typical Sections <br /> • Roadway Plan and Profile Sheets <br /> • Cross-Sections <br /> This plan set will incorporate approved drainage designs and any additional design elements that may affect <br /> right-of-way acquisition and/or utility relocations if applicable. <br /> Task 2.3— 100% Plan Submittal <br /> WSP will provide final design plans, special provisions, and engineer's estimate for the improvements <br /> listed. <br /> WSP will submit a full-size set of the 100%Design Plans in pdf format to include the following: <br /> • Title Sheet <br /> • Typical Sections <br /> • Roadway Plan and Profile Sheets <br /> • Cross-Sections <br />
