Per North Carolina General Statute 153A- <br /> 40 the board may by resolution fix the time and place of its regular meetings. Staff <br /> recommends continuing use of the McSwain Center located at 2420 Tramway Road <br /> for the first meeting of the month taking place on the first Monday and the Dennis <br /> Wicker Civic Center located at 1801 Nash Street for the second meeting of the <br /> month taking place on the third Monday. If the Board makes changes to the regular <br /> meeting schedule during the year, public notice will be provided and if needed, a <br /> modification may be made to alter the resolution fixing the time date and place of <br /> regular meetings. Mrs. Parrish asked for a motion to approve the resolution. At its first meeting in December, the <br /> Board must approve the official bonds for the following employees: the Sheriff in the <br /> amount of$25,000 (NCGS 162- 8); the Register of Deeds in the amount of$ 50,000 <br /> (NCGS 161- 4); and every other officer of the County who is required by law to give <br /> a bond for the faithful performance of his/her duties, which for Lee County is the Tax <br /> 2 <br />
