• <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF A VEHICLE AS SURPLUS PROPERTY <br /> AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF THE VEHICLE BY PRIVATE NEGOTIATION AS <br /> PERSONAL PROPERTY WORTH LESS THAN$30,000 <br /> WHEREAS,the County of Lee owns a vehicle, further described as a 1988 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer Utility <br /> 4-Wheel Drive,that is surplus to its needs; and, <br /> WHEREAS,North Carolina General Statute 153A-176 and 160A-266;267 allows the County to sell <br /> personal property by private sale upon authorization by the Lee County Board of Commissioners at a <br /> regular meeting and notice to the public; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the Board of Commissioners is convened in a regular meeting; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners as follows: <br /> 1. The Lee County Board of Commissioners hereby declares the following vehicle valued at less <br /> than$30,000 as surplus personal property: 1988 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer Utility with 4-Wheel <br /> Drive. <br /> 2. The Lee County Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Manager to conduct the sale of <br /> personal property by private negotiation. <br /> 3. The negotiated sales price for the private sale shall not be below the NADA Guidelines for a <br /> similar vehicle. <br /> 4. The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners shall publish a notice summarizing this resolution,and <br /> no sale may be executed pursuant to this resolution until at least 10 days after the notice is <br /> published. <br /> 5. The terms of the sale are that the property is sold in its current condition, as is,and the County <br /> gives no warranty with respect to usability of the property. <br /> 6. That the Buyer will pay the full amount of his or her negotiated sale price as approved by the <br /> County Manager. <br /> 7. That the County reserves the right to refuse any and all offers prior to the signing of a bill of sale <br /> memorializing the sale terms. <br /> --DDated this the 141 day of November,2022.
