from going into the building and under the slab. Adding to our issues is the pool
permitting process. Environmental Health and our contractor continue to work out the
details so the permit can be issued. These delays have now brought the project to a
standstill. Staff continues to work with the Architect/Engineer to get this project
restarted. We still believe the project will be finished a couple months ahead of next
summer's swimming season. No updates on the Bob Hales HVAC and roof upgrades
at this time. Meetings between Vines Architects, Samet/Sanford Contractors and staff
continue for the new library project. We will be forwarding revised project schedules
to the Board along with new drawings of the conceptual plan. We're starting to move
a little bit quicker on this project. We've received the RFQs for the outside
renovations to the Historic Courthouse. Staff and the State are in the process of
reviewing the RFQs and should have a recommendation for the design award at the
October 3rd Commissioners meeting. Staff wanted to discuss holding one meeting in
November due to the election and Thanksgiving week. We're asking the Board to
have one meeting on November 14th. One last item, the Health Director wanted to
announce that the Health Department is now offering bivalent COVID-19 booster.
Commissioner Carver asked if the Moore Center has to wait 60-90 days because of
the unsuitable soil removal and replacement. Dr. Crumpton noted the area with the
contaminated soils do have to wait, but the rest of the facility can be started on. This
has been communicated to the Central Carolina Community College President.
County_Man age rs_Mo nth ly_Report_Septem ber_12_2022.pdf
8.22.22 Parks and Rec Commission Agenda
Sandhill Center Quarterly Fiscal Report.pdf
Building Inspections and Permits.pdf
September TRC Agenda [09.02.22].pdf
Monthly Tax Collection Managers Report July 2022.pdf
2022_June&July_Library Director_Report.pdf
Library Schedule_2022-09-06-11-57-06.pdf
Aug 2022 FirstHealth EMS Reporting Requirements.pdf
CCH ED Wait Times 2022.pptx
LCEMS D_E Response Aug 2022 220906.xlsx
Motion: Move to approve holding the November Board of Commissioners
meeting on the second Monday of the month, November 14th, 2022.
Mover: Robert Reives
For: 7 - Arianna Lavallee, Dr. Andre Knecht, Robert Reives, Cameron Sharpe, Kirk
Smith, Bill Carver, Mark Lovick
Motion Result: Passed
IX.
