MANAGERS' REPORTS
VIII.A July 2022 Financial Report
Finance Director Candace Iceman provided the financial report for July 2022. At this
time, we are at 1.78% of our ad valorem budget and there are no departments
exceeding their budgets.
JULY 2022 Monthly Financial Report.pdf
June 2022 countywide sales tax analysis.pdf
June 2022 sales tax budget comparison.pdf
June 2022 sales tax historical analysis.pdf
VIII.B County Manager's Monthly Report for September 2022
County Manager Dr. John Crumpton gave his report to the Board. At the E. Eugene
Moore Center, Terraquest has re-installed groundwater monitoring wells in the
excavation basin, sampled them, steamed at five points beneath the building, pulled
a vacuum on the wells outside of the building and installed new air sparge wells in
the excavation basin. Terraquest will have reports in the next week or two detailing
the sampling event and steam event. They are scheduled to sample the aquifer again
in late September or early October. A&D Environmental Services visited the site and
collected more samples of the frac tank contents for characterization. Hazardous
waste removal and tank cleaning will happen in the near future to remove all the
material and soil from around thank and then refill the hole with suitable soils. This
should take around 60 to 90 days if the tests results show no contamination. We are
about two weeks ahead of the revised time schedule and still under our revised
budget of$600,000. The multi- sportsplex was discussed earlier in the meeting. The
Horton Park Pool Project has stopped due to unsuitable soils underneath the
bathhouse building. Additional soil sampling is being conducted. The good news is
the structure of the building is sound so we do not need to demo the entire structure.
Once the sampling is done, we will need to remove unsuitable soil and replace it with
proper soil. There will also be additional stormwater measures added to keep water
