PUBLIC HEARING
IV.A Zoning Map Amendment (Rezoning) Application and Staff Report
Planning Administrator Amy McNeill introduced Curtis Lee to the Board and said
future staff presentations will come from him. Street Dog Properties, LLC is
requesting to rezone 4.45 acres consisting of four parcels of land addressed as 3224
and 3226 Hawkins Ave from Residential Agricultural (RA) to Highway Commercial
(HC) to allow the installation of a self-standing ice vending machine on the subject
property. Therefore, Street Dog Properties, LLC has submitted this Zoning Map
Amendment Application for the Board's consideration. This is a standard general use
rezoning request, as opposed to a conditional rezoning request, therefore, no site
plan nor subdivision plans nor building plans are required as part of the rezoning
request. Commissioner Reives asked if this was included in the opportunity zone.
Staff indicated that they do not typically research whether property is located in the
opportunity zone. It is located just north of the two traffic circles, just past the
convenience store.
Chairman Smith opened the public hearing at 6:21 pm.
One spoke in favor of the request:
-Albert Adcock, 1414 Golden Circle (owner of the property)
No one spoke in opposition.
Chairman Smith closed the public hearing at 6:23pm.
00-Rez@3224 Hawkins Ave-BINDER.pdf
V.
