AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP <br /> OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> WHEREAS, a request to amend the Official Zoning Map has been received from Rhetson <br /> Companies, Inc. to rezone a vacant 1.96 acre tract of land with frontage on Greenwood Road. <br /> identified as Tax Parcel 9549-36-0427-00 as depicted on Lee Count} Tax Map 9549.01. <br /> Residential Restricted (RR) and Residential Agricultural (RA) to Neighborhood Commercial <br /> (NC)-. and, <br /> WHEREAS, said request has been presented to the Planning Board of the Lee County-, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County conducted a public hearing on Jule 11. <br /> 2022 to receive citizen input on the requested zoning map amendment: and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County approves the request to amend the <br /> Official Zoning Map of Lee County, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> LEE COUNTY: <br /> The Official Zoning Map is hereby amended a vacant 1.96 acre tract of land with frontage on <br /> Greenwood Road. identified as Tax Parcel 9549-36-0427-00 as depicted on Lee Count\ Tax <br /> Map 9549.01. Residential Restricted (RR) and Residential Agricultural (RA) to Neighborhood <br /> Commercial (NC). See Exhibit A included for reference. <br /> In making this decision. the Board of Conunissioners of the Count\ of Lee hereby ackno«ledges <br /> that the proposed zoning map amendment is consistent with the Plan SanI.ec long range plan <br /> designation of Village Center because this district is supportive ofcommercial uses as allowed in <br /> this land use designation. <br />
