L EE C OU NTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 2012 <br />The regular meeting of the Lee County Board of Comrfaissioners'for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina, convened at 4 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room�'Lee Government Center, 106 <br />Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Richard B. Hayes, <br />Larry "Doc" Oldham, Charles T. Parks, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert 'T Reives, Linda A. Shook, and <br />James K. Womack. <br />Chairman Shook called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted. <br />Commissioner Womack delivered the i <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />Mr. Neil Emory from <br />presented Commissioner IN <br />County Commissioners./� <br />The Board recognised` <br />Girls Club to share their recer <br />Association of County Commis <br />shared items— of°rinterest and <br />knowledge sin "their schools and <br />involvement in cow <br />an�lack,,trust in g <br />attended the event. <br />Carolina Association of County Commissioners was present and <br />Paschal with a certificate for his 20 years of service as a Lee <br />'member /Reven Ramirez and Gabrielle Holmes from the Boys and <br />cperience from the 2012 Youth Summit held at the North Carolina <br />er /(NCACC) conference in Raleigh. Mr. Ramirez and Ms. Holmes <br />igs learned during the conference and how they will apply this <br />imunities. The Youth Summit is NCACC's initiative to increase youth <br />and aims to overcome the mindset that many youth are disengaged <br />ment. Over 110 youth and adults from over 65 counties in North Carolina <br />The'Board considered additions /changes to the agenda. County Manager John Crumpton <br />added a closed session to consult with the County Attorney to protect the attorney - client privilege. With <br />no other changes made, Commissioner Hayes moved to approve the agenda as amended. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />
