j r <br />FY 2013 SENIOR CENTER GENERAL PURPOSE PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />Complete one for each senior center listed to receive funds. <br />Senior Center to receive funding: The Enrichment Center <br />2. Amount of funding (state /local /total): $15,671 <br />3. Area served by Senior Center: Lee County <br />Describe how the funding will be spent at each location specified above: <br />Replace 5 computer systems in our public access lab and one in our <br />game room. Replace and /or repair fitness room equipment. Program <br />supplies, advertising and printing of materials for the annual Boomer, <br />Senior & Caregiver Expo. Speakers, instructors and supplies for cooking, <br />health and wellness classes. Supplement annual senior trip to the State <br />Fair in Raleigh, NC. Paid advertising for special programs. Entertainment <br />for dinners and special programs. Quarterly maintenance visits and <br />necessary repairs to fitness room equipment. Public access Internet and <br />wireless connection for participants' use, classes and programs. <br />Supplement the Veterans Service Office with supplies, program materials <br />and equipment. Supplement the cost of training required by Senior Center <br />Certification. Training for fitness instructors. Telephone, computer and <br />other technology equipment maintenance and /or replacement. <br />Promotional handouts and prizes for health fairs. Marketing tools <br />(magnets, cups, t- shirts, pens, bags). Subscriptions to periodicals for <br />program ideas and information.
