Change in Classification to County Pay Plan for a Lead <br />Maintenance Mechanic position. <br />With no other changes made, Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the revised agenda. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Hayes moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />items: <br />• Minutes from the July 16, 2012 regular meeting, <br />• Minutes from the July 24, 2012 joint meeting with Economic Development, Sanford City <br />Council and Town of Broadway, <br />• FY 2012 -13 Application for State Aid to Public Libraries, <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for July 2012 (copies attached), <br />• Change Order for Lee County Jail Security Project (copy attached), <br />• Renewal of Enterprise Data Storage Maintenance Agreements, <br />• Budget Amendment # 08/20/12/01 (copy attached), and <br />• Proclamation for fall DOT Litter Sweep (copy attached). <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Pursuant to N.C. General Statute 153A -52.1, Chairman Shook opened the floor for Public <br />Comments. The following signed up to speak and were allowed 3 minutes for comments: <br />• Mr. Kirk Smith, 3108 Avents Ferry Road, Sanford (loan to Airport Authority and <br />naming of the airport) <br />At this time Community Development Director Bob Bridwell gave an update on the status of <br />property damage from the April 2011 tornado. No action was taken. <br />Roger Millikin from the Lee County Emergency Services Office reported that FEMA will mail this <br />week, a check to Lee County in the amount of $232,000 to cover debris cleanup from the 2011 tornado. <br />FEMA is still processing close -out paperwork and a final reimbursement to Lee County of $239,000 is <br />expected in the near future. <br />Staff from the Sanford -Lee County Community Development Office gave a presentation on road <br />design changes to Hwy. #1 and Tramway Road. Community Development Director Bob Bridwell <br />introduced Developer Project Manager Mark Lyczkowski who is assisting owner Bobby Branch with the <br />2 <br />
