<br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
<br />RESOLUTION
<br />OF RECOGNITION
<br />FOR ROBERT P. HEUTS
<br />WHEREAS, Robert P. (Bob) Heuts began employment with Lee County as the Economic Development Director
<br />on October 20, 1997; and
<br />WHEREAS, Mr. Heuts worked jointly with the City of Sanford, County of Lee, and Town of Broadway on
<br />recruiting new business; and
<br />WHEREAS, over the past fifteen plus years Mr. Heuts has worked with major Fortune 100 corporations, the
<br />Department of Commerce, as well as small start -up operations; and
<br />WHEREAS, Mr. Heuts was instrumental in bringing or assisting such companies to Lee County as American
<br />Cyanamid, Atlantic Hydraulics, Axxor, LLC, 3M, Caterpillar, Challenge Printing, Cloverleaf Cold Storage,
<br />Frontier Spinning, Coty, Imperial Freezer, JMC Tool & Machine, Lee Brick & Tile, Magneti Marelli, Meikle EMS
<br />Automation, Moen, Inc., Moore's Machine, The Pantry, Red Wolf LLC, Red Dog Properties, Pentair Water Pool
<br />& Spa, Redman Homes, Saiden Technology, Score Energy, System Plast, WST Industries, Wyeth, and Zurn
<br />Industries; and
<br />WHEREAS, Mr. Heuts partnered with Central Carolina Community College with the opening of the Innovations
<br />Center which was a joint project between the College and Economic Development to assist start-up training for
<br />expanding industry; and
<br />WHEREAS, Mr. Heuts was also highly committed to the Raleigh Executive Jetport and the Sanford -Lee County
<br />Airport Authority for featuring the aviation business here in Lee County; and
<br />WHEREAS, Mr. Heuts will retire October 1, 2012, with 15 years total service; and
<br />WHEREAS, Mr. Heuts has demonstrated a deep commitment to his job and to the citizens of Lee County; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Lee County Board of Commissioners to recognize the achievements of Robert
<br />P. Heuts and to express its appreciation to him for his dedicated service and contribution to Lee County.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County that it congratulates
<br />Robert P. Heuts for a career of public service which has been characterized by a genuine interest in and
<br />concern for Lee County, and it wishes him continued success in all his future endeavors.
