The goal is to value all property as of its true value as of the year of the
general reappraisal. The meaning of true value is market value. State law requires
reappraisals to occur at least every eight years. The Board of Commissioners
have voted to conduct a reappraisal every four years. A summary of comparison
sales showing the 2019 assessed value verses recent sale values was provided.
The Board will be provided and asked to adopt the market and present-use value
schedule of values in October.
Reappraisal Update w BOCC June 20 2022.pptx
VII.0 Permission for the Lee County Libraries to allow alcohol sales during the POP!-
con Annual Event in August 2022
The Lee County Library is hosting its Annual Pop!-con event on August 20, 2022
from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. As part of the event, there will be special guest
speakers, musical performances, demonstrations, food trucks and vendor tables set
up. The Parks
and Recreation Ordinance does specifically prohibit the consumption and sale of
alcohol in the park property. The vendors will be required to obtain the necessary
North Carolina Alcohol Beverage Permit for this one-day event; however, Lee
County, as the property owner, must submit an application for a temporary use
permit to the Planning/Zoning Department.
SR22 POP!-con insert p2.png
SR22 POP!-con Insert p1.png
22 Pop-Con Exhibitor application.docx
01A-TEMP USE APPLICATION-Library Event POP!-con 2022.doc
Pop!-con draws a crowd _Archives _ sanfordherald.com.pdf POP!-
con map of inside and outside set up.pdf
6
